What is Liberation News?

Liberation News exists because institutions cannot be trusted to tell the truth about the conditions we live under.

Social media platforms silence accounts without warning. Mainstream outlets distort, minimize, or erase the experiences of Black and oppressed communities. Liberation News restores control of the narrative by documenting reality directly and preserving it as a record.

Liberation News is the independent press of The Liberation Movement. It reports from classrooms, neighborhoods, workplaces, and communities. It documents state violence, economic conditions, resistance, and survival without allegiance to political parties, corporations, or institutions of power.

Liberation News publishes in print and digital formats. Print matters. Paper cannot be shadow-banned. It moves hand to hand. It survives platform collapse. It becomes an archive. Our reporting includes long-form analysis, global liberation updates, youth sections, political prisoner voices, and practical tools for community protection and organization.
